On Thursday the 2nd of May the year sixes started cycle safety. We started with a brief talk then they checked our helmets and bikes to make sure our bikes were safe and our helmets were not damaged. After that they put us into groups that were suitable for us to learn. We learnt how to indicate left and right and to hold up our hands to tell the person/car behind us that we are going to stop. Then we practised on the court to make sure we were able to do it on the road without getting hurt. After lunch we did the ABBC check (air, brakes, bolts, chain). Then we went on the road for the rest of the day and the whole of Friday. We loved doing cycle safety because we learnt how to be safe on the road.
